Outside the Box
I do a sunday night mix show on college radio around my area. Me and my friend Carlos have been doing this for about 7 years. We've always been an open format kinda show. We book djs from around the area every sunday night, and play everything from hip hop to house, classics, disco..etc..etc. My good friend Jermy (DJ Digumsmak) dropped by last sunday and did a set with me. He recorded the whole thing (Thanks D), which is cool because we're always lazy about recording and archiving our shows. Anyway, here is a recording of my set from that night. . It's about 55minutes long, and it's just me playing records that I was feeling at the moment.

Scooby Doo Techno VS. German Techno.
I may be out of the loop on a lot of things, but I usually keep up with music pretty good. . doesn't matter what kinda music it is. This request from a young girl got me puzzled last week. First, she asked me for Nine Inch Nails.. I was playing a lot of house that night. . I told her "sorry, I can't really play that with what I'm playing right now". . She said "well, I'v heard some DJs mix stuff like NIN and Beatles into Techno" . . So I simply told her "oh, well . . I'm not one of those". That was an easy one to figure out. . but then she asked me for: Scoobydoo Techno and German Techno. . Don't know what those sound like, but if there is anyone out there that can help me out, I'd appreciate it. I feel like I'm out of the loop right now because my collection is lacking 2 different kinds of techno. In this case, maybe I'm the one who is the "uncultured idiot". . and I won't waste anyone's time, ears, and brain cells putting up youtubes of what I found under scooby doo and german techno..

Yoyoyooo
I've tried to start a blog so many times, and each time I get one going i get lazy about it and don't know what to say or put up. Now that I have a lot to say and a lot of stuff to share, I think I'm goin to keep this one going. Well, here it is. . my first post.. I'm going to put up a lot of my mixes, projects, vinyl rips, and some edits here and there that might be helpful for working DJs.. Enjoyyyyy it.
